Description
TCI C1242 Diethyl Cyanophosphonate (DEPC) is a well-established coupling reagent for activating carboxylic acids toward amide and ester bond formation. It is frequently applied in peptide synthesis, where it offers effective coupling under comparatively mild conditions. The reagent is highly toxic and moisture-sensitive, and hydrolysis can release extremely hazardous gas, so it must be handled only by trained personnel in a fume hood. Available in 5 g and 25 g packs, it must be stored, used, and disposed of strictly in accordance with the official TCI safety data sheet.
