TCI C1511 N-Carbobenzoxy-1,2-diaminoethane Hydrochloride (CAS 18807-71-1) is a mono-Cbz-protected ethylenediamine supplied as its hydrochloride salt. The protected amine and the free amine allow chemists to functionalise only one end of a symmetrical diamine, avoiding uncontrolled double reaction. The Cbz group can be removed cleanly under standard hydrogenolysis conditions, making the reagent well suited to orthogonal protection strategies in peptide, linker, and bioconjugate chemistry.
