TCI B6858 (5-Bromo-2-chlorophenyl)(4-methoxyphenyl)methanone is a trisubstituted benzophenone offering three distinct handles for elaboration: an aryl bromide, an aryl chloride, and a methoxy group. The bromide reacts preferentially in palladium-catalysed cross-coupling, leaving the chloride available for a later, more forcing step. The ketone itself can be reduced to a secondary alcohol or fully to a methylene bridge, a common route to diarylmethane scaffolds.
