Description
Cinchonine (TCI C0350, CAS 118-10-5) is a naturally occurring cinchona alkaloid and one of the most established chiral catalysts in asymmetric synthesis. Because it behaves as a pseudo-enantiomer of cinchonidine, the two are frequently paired to access opposite stereochemical outcomes within the same reaction system. It also serves as a starting scaffold for chiral phase-transfer catalysts and as a resolving agent for racemic acids.
