TCI C0384 Bis(2,4-pentanedionato)copper(II), CAS 13395-16-9, is the well-known copper(II) acetylacetonate chelate used as a versatile copper source in synthesis and materials science. Its stable β-diketonate framework makes the complex convenient to weigh and dissolve, while the ligands are readily displaced once the active catalytic species forms. It is commonly applied as a catalyst precursor in copper-mediated coupling and C–H functionalisation studies, and as a precursor for copper-based thin films and nanoparticles. AMI Scientific supplies it in 25 g and 250 g packs; store in a tightly closed container in a cool, dry place.
