TCI C0478 cis-1,2-Cyclohexanedicarboxylic Anhydride (CAS 13149-00-3) is a reactive cyclic anhydride derived from cis-1,2-cyclohexanedicarboxylic acid. Its strained anhydride ring opens readily with alcohols and amines to give mono-esters, mono-amides, and imide precursors bearing a free carboxyl group. The saturated ring also makes it a common choice in epoxy curing chemistry where colour stability and optical clarity matter. Supplied in 25 g, 100 g, and 500 g packs, it is moisture sensitive and should be weighed quickly under dry conditions and stored cool, dry, and tightly sealed.
