TCI C0661 Nalpha-Carbobenzoxy-DL-asparagine (CAS 29880-22-6) is a racemic asparagine derivative in which the alpha-amino group is masked by the carbobenzoxy (Cbz) protecting group. The Cbz group withstands common coupling conditions while remaining cleanly removable by catalytic hydrogenolysis, which makes the reagent convenient for solution-phase peptide assembly.
