TCI C0739 N-Benzyloxycarbonyl-L-leucine is a Cbz-protected form of L-leucine widely used as a building block in peptide chemistry. The benzyloxycarbonyl group offers robust protection of the alpha-amino function while remaining removable by catalytic hydrogenolysis. Its free carboxylic acid can be readily activated for amide bond formation using common coupling reagents. AMI Scientific supplies this TCI product in 5 g and 25 g pack sizes for both exploratory and routine synthetic work.
