TCI C0839 1,1-Cyclopentanediacetic Anhydride (CAS 5662-95-3) is the cyclic anhydride form of the corresponding diacetic acid, offering much higher reactivity toward nucleophiles. It reacts readily with amines and alcohols to give amic acids, imides, or monoesters, saving a synthetic step in multistage routes. The rigid quaternary cyclopentane core makes it valuable for spirocyclic pharmaceutical intermediates and functional materials.
