Dimethyl 1,4-cyclohexanedicarboxylate (TCI C1154, CAS 94-60-0) is supplied as a mixture of cis and trans isomers and serves as a saturated alternative to aromatic diesters. Its two ester groups at the 1 and 4 positions make it a convenient monomer for alicyclic polyesters and a precursor to the corresponding cyclic diol. The isomer mixture is also valuable for studying how stereochemistry influences reactivity and material properties.
