TCI C1361 2-Chloro-alpha-methylbenzyl Alcohol (CAS 13524-04-4) is a secondary benzylic alcohol bearing an ortho-chloro substituent on the aromatic ring. Its hydroxyl group can be etherified, esterified, converted into a leaving group, or oxidised to the corresponding aryl ketone, giving chemists several convergent routes forward.
