The Ossila Optical Filter Full Set (G2105A1) brings together the complete longpass and shortpass filter collections in one kit, giving spectroscopy users a broad choice of cut-on and cut-off wavelengths. Longpass filters span cut-on wavelengths from 400 nm to 700 nm, while shortpass filters cover cut-off wavelengths from 600 nm to 900 nm.
These filters are designed to isolate specific parts of the electromagnetic spectrum. In the passband they transmit >90% of light, and in the blocked region they reach OD4, which corresponds to roughly ~0.01% transmission. Each filter measures Ø25.0 mm across and is 4.0 mm thick, making the set well suited to fluorescence work, absorption measurements and similar optical experiments.
Every filter sits inside an outer ring that makes it easier to handle and helps raise the effective optical density by limiting scattered light. The ring is marked with the cut-on or cut-off wavelength and the filter type, so the right filter can be identified at a glance. A storage box is supplied to keep the filters protected between uses.
- Blocking excitation light and isolating emission bands in fluorescence measurements.
- Selecting defined wavelength regions for absorption measurements.
- Isolating specific regions of the electromagnetic spectrum in optical spectroscopy setups.
- Completing a spectrometer setup with a wide range of longpass and shortpass options.
