This Ossila deposition mask is built for 25mm x 25mm patterned ITO substrates and is used to evaporate electrodes that form photovoltaic or LED test pixels. The multi electrode (four pixel) pattern lines up with the ITO on the S2006C1 substrate to give four large pixels of 6mm x 8mm = 48mm2 each, for a combined device area of 192mm2 per substrate.

The assembly is made of stainless steel and consists of a back panel, a substrate holder and a shadow mask. Substrates sit against the back panel with the patterned layer above, and the stack is screwed together so the substrates stay fixed throughout deposition. The holder measures 95mm x 95mm and has 9 recesses of 25.3mm x 25.3mm.

This version includes the optional spacer layer, placed between substrate and shadow mask so that active layer materials do not touch the mask. With the spacer the thickness is 1.8mm (excluding bolts). Finished devices can be connected using the P2011A Test Board.
