The Ossila S111 is a pack of 100 unpatterned indium tin oxide (ITO) coated glass substrates measuring 15 mm x 20 mm. Each piece carries a continuous, fully oxidized ITO film of 100 nm ± 20 nm, giving researchers a transparent conductive surface for a broad range of experiments.
The base is polished soda lime float glass, 1.1 mm thick, with a glass roughness of 1 nm RMS and an ITO roughness of 1.8 nm RMS, both determined by AFM. The quoted sheet resistance is 20 Ω.□ -1, while values measured with the Ossila Four-Point Probe System fall between 14 - 20 Ω.□ -1.
Because the coating is not patterned, the substrates suit techniques that need a uniform conductive layer, such as scanning tunnelling microscopy, conductive AFM, spectroscopic measurements and electropolymerization. The 15 mm x 20 mm format matches Ossila's 20 mm x 15 mm PV/OLED system.
- Conductive substrates for scanning tunnelling microscopy (STM).
- Sample supports for conductive atomic force microscopy (AFM).
- Transparent conductive surfaces for spectroscopy experiments.
- Working electrodes for electropolymerization studies.
