This set contains two Ossila Tool Clamp Micromanipulators, one left-handed and one right-handed, for manually positioning pen-shaped tools and devices. Each unit moves in the X, Y and Z axes using three precision micrometers, reaching a smallest achievable motion of approximately 4-8 µm, which makes it suitable for tasks such as fluid dispensing and optical alignment.
A universal tool clamp is already mounted on each manipulator arm and tilts through ±90 degrees, so tools can approach the sample from almost any angle. Its 25 mm V-groove holds cylindrical tools between 1 mm and 13 mm in diameter in consistent alignment while limiting unwanted movement, and the small clamp size keeps clutter around the device under test to a minimum.
The anodized aluminum body sits on a permanent magnet base, allowing quick attachment to probe stations. For electrical probing, Ossila points users to its micromanipulator version fitted with a tungsten probe tip and SMA cable.
