Ossila PH 1000 PEDOT:PSS (product code M122) is the Clevios™ PH 1000 grade of PEDOT:PSS (CAS 155090-83-8), a water-based polymer dispersion for work that needs both high electrical conductivity and good optical transparency. It is widely chosen for interfacial and electrode layers in organic photovoltaics (OPV), OLEDs and perovskite solar cells.
The formulation has a PEDOT/PSS ratio of 1:2.5 w/w, a solid content of 1.0 – 1.3 wt.% and a work function of 4.8 – 5.0 eV. Conductivity can be raised with enhancement additives: with 5% dimethyl sulfoxide, dried coatings reach 850 S/cm, and additives such as dimethyl sulfoxide or ethylene glycol allow sheet resistances as low as 300 Ω/square.
Typical uses include replacing ITO, forming semi-transparent top electrodes and FET top gate electrodes, and building thick planarization layers over rough substrates such as FTO. Ossila's PH 1000 has appeared in published research, including a wearable supercapacitor study in Adv. Mater. and an electro-active metaobjective study in Nat. Commun.
- Transparent conductive electrodes as an alternative to ITO.
- Semi-transparent top electrodes in thin film electronic devices.
- Top gate electrodes in field-effect transistors (FETs).
- Thick planarization layers on rough surfaces such as FTO.
- Interfacial layers in OPV, OLED and perovskite solar cells.
