The Ossila adjustable film applicator L3009C2 is a blade coating tool for producing large-area wet films with reproducible thickness. This version combines a 100 mm coating width, a Stainless Steel 304 body and analog (manual) micrometer gauges, and includes a solution reservoir and a height-adjustable blade in one instrument.
The blade gap can be set anywhere from 0 mm to 10 mm. The manual gauges read in 10 µm steps with 4 µm accuracy, and the blade is calibrated to the zero point of the micrometer, which makes repeat settings quicker and more consistent. A rounded tungsten carbide tip resists wear for long service. The gap slot is shaped to guide solution into the gap, while an integrated slurry spreader keeps the slurry inside the applicator and spreads it over the full coating width.
Stainless steel is the choice for coating materials that need higher chemical resistance than the anodized aluminium model. The applicator works for hand coating and can also be paired with the Ossila Automatic Film Applicator for consistent coating speeds.
