These unpatterned FTO (fluorine-doped tin oxide) glass substrates provide a transparent, electrically conductive surface for building transparent electrodes. The S2010A1 pack holds 100 Ossila-brand substrates measuring 20 mm x 15 mm on 2.2 mm soda lime glass, with a quoted sheet resistance of 7 – 10 Ω/square.
The FTO coating is 200 - 300 nm thick, and the measured sheet resistance is 7.49 ± 0.30 Ω/square, determined with the Ossila Four-Point Probe System using soft-contact probes. Transmission is 70% from the front and 73% from the rear. Ossila designed its own coatings to closely match the TEC range, giving comparable results for research and device work.
FTO combines low surface resistivity and high optical transmittance with resistance to scratching and abrasion, stability at high temperatures and inertness towards many chemicals. Because the surface is unpatterned, users can etch and clean it to suit their own device layout.
