TCI C0003 Calcein Sodium Salt (mixture of isomers) is a metallofluorescent indicator formulated for the fluorometric determination of calcium. Built on a fluorescein core bearing iminodiacetate chelating groups, it produces a bright green fluorescent complex with Ca²⁺ under alkaline conditions. This behavior gives an exceptionally sharp endpoint in complexometric EDTA titrations, including water hardness testing. Supplied as a readily water-soluble sodium salt in a 5 g pack, it should be protected from light and kept cool and dry.
