TCI C0004 Calcein (mixture of isomers) is a fluorescein-based fluorescent probe bearing iminodiacetate chelating groups. It is widely used in life science as a fluorescent label for cell studies, membrane integrity assessment, and as a bone-mineralization marker in growth-rate measurements. In analytical work it also serves as a metallofluorescent indicator for the fluorometric determination of calcium.
