TCI C0336 Tris(2,4-pentanedionato)chromium(III), CAS 21679-31-2, is the well-known chromium(III) acetylacetonate complex, an octahedral chelate with three acetylacetonate ligands. The chelate structure gives good stability and solubility in organic solvents, which makes it convenient to handle in synthetic and analytical work. It is widely used as a paramagnetic relaxation agent in quantitative NMR, as a homogeneous catalyst precursor, and as a metal source for thin film and materials preparation.
