TCI C0492 cis-4-Cyclohexene-1,2-dicarboxylic Acid (CAS 2305-26-2) is a cyclic dicarboxylic acid that retains an internal double bond. The cis arrangement of its two carboxyl groups favours cyclic anhydride formation and makes the compound a useful acid component for polyesters and polyamides. The remaining alkene provides an additional handle for epoxidation, hydrogenation, or crosslinking, allowing material properties to be tuned.
