Description

TCI C0793 CMC (CAS 2491-17-0) is a water-soluble carbodiimide reagent developed for peptide synthesis and bioconjugation. Its quaternary ammonium moiety allows carboxyl activation and amide bond formation to proceed in aqueous media, which is valuable when working with sensitive biomolecules. Typical uses include peptide coupling, enzyme and biomolecule immobilisation, hydrogel crosslinking, and carbodiimide-based chemical probing of nucleic acids. Supplied by TCI in 5 g and 25 g packs, the salt is hygroscopic and should be kept cold, dry, and tightly closed.
