TCI C0119 1,1'-Carbonyldiimidazole (CAS 530-62-1) is a widely used carbonyl activating agent for peptide and general amide bond formation. It converts carboxylic acids into reactive acyl imidazolides that readily couple with amines, alcohols, and other nucleophiles under mild conditions. Its by-products, imidazole and carbon dioxide, are typically easy to remove, simplifying downstream purification. Supplied by TCI in 5 g, 25 g, and 250 g packs, the reagent is highly moisture sensitive and should be handled under dry, inert conditions.
