TCI C0959 Trimellitic Anhydride (CAS 552-30-7) is the cyclic anhydride of benzene-1,2,4-tricarboxylic acid, carrying an additional free carboxyl group on the aromatic ring. This trifunctional character makes it a key monomer for polyamide-imides, polyimides, water-reducible resins, and trifunctional ester derivatives. The reactive anhydride ring readily forms imide and ester linkages, while the free acid group enables crosslinking and further modification.
