Description
TCI C1110 Sodium 2-Chloroethanesulfonate (CAS 15484-44-3) is supplied as an aqueous solution of approximately 13% according to the product designation. The highly polar sulfonate group combined with a reactive chloroethyl chain makes it a useful sulfoethylating reagent and a precursor to vinylsulfonate species under basic conditions. It is applied in polymer and surface modification, anionic surfactant synthesis and thiol-related biochemical research.
