TCI C1503 Chlorodifluoroacetic Anhydride is a highly reactive fluorinated acid anhydride used as a powerful acylating agent for alcohols, amines, and phenols. It transfers the chlorodifluoroacetyl fragment efficiently and also serves as an entry point to difluorocarbene chemistry and difluorinated motifs in medicinal and agrochemical research. Its halogenated acyl group is additionally valuable for analytical derivatization, improving volatility and detector response in gas chromatography. AMI Scientific offers this TCI reagent in 10 g and 25 g packs; because it reacts rapidly with moisture, it must be handled with dry, inert-atmosphere technique in strict accordance with the manufacturer's Safety Data Sheet.
