Hexanoic Anhydride (TCI C0021, CAS 2051-49-2) is a medium-chain acid anhydride used to introduce hexanoyl groups onto alcohols, amines, and other nucleophilic substrates. It is a convenient alternative to acyl chlorides for routine ester and amide formation. The 25 mL and 500 mL sizes cover both small-scale trials and repeated synthetic work.
