Description
TCI C1229 3-(Chloromethyl)-3-methyloxetane is a strained four-membered oxetane building block bearing a reactive chloromethyl handle. The chloride is readily displaced by oxygen, nitrogen, or sulfur nucleophiles, giving rapid access to a wide range of functionalised oxetane derivatives. Oxetane motifs are widely studied in medicinal chemistry and in ring-opening polymerisation research. Supplied in 5 g and 25 g packs, the reagent should be handled in a fume hood following the official TCI safety data sheet.
