Collection: Magnetic Materials

Magnetic Materials — a collection of magnetic metal complexes, stable organic radicals, and magnetic ionic liquids, such as vanadium, cobalt, chromium, and nickel derivatives, as well as TEMPO radicals that exhibit paramagnetic or ferromagnetic properties. This group serves as model materials for research on molecular magnetic materials and spin electronic systems.

Magnetic Materials are used by materials chemists and molecular physicists to synthesize and characterize compounds with unique magnetic properties, including metal complexes such as bis(pentanedionato)vanadium oxide and cobalt salen complexes studied through magnetic susceptibility measurements. Organic radicals such as TEMPO and its derivatives are used as spin labels or components of purely organic magnetic materials, while magnetic ionic liquids are explored for functional electrolyte applications and magnetic field-based separation.
