Collection: Zero-length Crosslinkers

Zero-length Crosslinkers — includes activated ester reagents such as N-hydroxysuccinimide derivatives and reducing agents such as sodium cyanoborohydride that form direct bonds between biomolecules without inserting additional linker structures. These reagents work by activating carboxyl groups or stabilizing imine bonds formed during conjugation.

These zero-length crosslinker reagents are used by bioconjugation researchers to link proteins, peptides, or chelating ligands directly through the formation of amide or amine bonds without a spacer, for example in the synthesis of NODAGA-based compounds. Active esters such as N-succinimidyl trifluoroacetate and sodium N-hydroxysulfosuccinimide are also commonly used in preparing labeled probes for molecular biology studies.

Example products in this collection: TCI A3699 Azide-NODAGA, TCI C0119 530-62-1 1,1'-Carbonyldiimidazole [Coupling Agent for Peptides Synthesis], TCI S0915 5672-89-9 N-Succinimidyl Trifluoroacetate, TCI C0793 2491-17-0 1-Cyclohexyl-3-(2-morpholinoethyl)carbodiimide Metho-p-toluenesulfonate [for Peptide Synthesis], TCI S0396 25895-60-7 Sodium Cyanoborohydride [Reducing Agent], TCI C3654 471-44-3 Chloro(fluoro)acetic Acid, TCI N1307 3053227-78-1 NODAGA-ADIBO, TCI D0254 693-13-0 N,N'-Diisopropylcarbodiimide.

Pay attention to the reactivity of reactive groups toward moisture, which can cause hydrolysis, as well as reagent purity and the cold, dry storage conditions needed to maintain active ester stability. All products are genuine Tokyo Chemical Industry (TCI) Japan products, with purity, packaging, and storage conditions listed on each item's page.
